Komenda College of Education Establishes Grievance Committee: Promoting Student Support and Gender Equality”
On the 17th of November 2023, Komenda College of Education took a proactive step in institutional governance by inaugurating the Grievance Committee. This significant event garnered the participation of esteemed individuals, including members of the management, faculty, and student body.
The proceedings were dignified, with attendees witnessing the formal establishment of the Grievance Committee. Notably, the presence of Nana Kwesi Tandoh IV, a committee member and the Chairperson of the event, added prestige to the occasion. His remarks emphasized the committee’s vital role in providing robust support to students facing challenging situations, such as instances of sexual abuse.
Madam Sabina Amos, serving as the Gender Champion, provided comprehensive insights into the Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) aspects, highlighting the committee’s pivotal role. Her discourse underscored the significance of active participation in the committee for all stakeholders.
The meeting concluded seamlessly, and the absence of queries indicated a clear reception of the message. It is anticipated that this initiative will foster a supportive environment for our students, encouraging thoughtful reflection on the imparted information.
