“Harmonizing Spirits; Komenda College’s Enchanting Festival of Nine Lessons & Carols 2023”
On the evening of December 8, 2023, Komenda College of Education convened at the forecourt of the newly inaugurated Abraham Brew Sam Administration Block to partake in the annual Festival of Nine Lessons & Carols—a highly anticipated event within the academic calendar.
The atmosphere buzzed with festive anticipation as the entire college community gathered to engage in the cherished tradition of carol singing and scripture reading. The commencement of the program punctually at 7 pm featured a solemn processional hymn that set the tone for the evening.
Esteemed dignitaries graced the occasion, including the highly respected Principal, Very Reverend Kwesi Nkum Wilson, Ph.D., the Vice Principal, Mr. Theophilus Kweku Bassaw, and the Head of Quality Assurance, Mr. Mark Eghan, along with other distinguished members of the college’s management. In attendance were Heads of Departments, lecturers, national service personnel, non-teaching staff, and the Students’ Representative Council.
Throughout the ceremony, as the lessons were eloquently read, the various halls and teaching staff harmoniously rendered enchanting carols, creating an atmosphere of reverence and celebration.
The Principal delivered a captivating Christmas message that resonated with the audience, leaving an indelible mark on the collective spirit of the college community as they anticipate the coming year, 2024.
The culminating moments of the event transpired with a benediction pronounced by the College Chaplain at precisely 10:44 pm, concluding the Festival of Nine Lessons & Carols with a sense of spiritual fulfillment and communal joy.
